Purpose

This document will show you how to perform a threat scan (AV scan) on specific files, folders or drives from a machine that has a Shavlik Protect agent with AV installed on it.

Solution

If Shavlik Protect agent is configured with a threat task or if Active Protection is enabled, the user of the machine can initiate an antivirus scan on a specific file, folder, or drive on the machine. This is done by right-clicking the desired item within Windows Explorer and then selecting Scan with Shavlik Protect.
