Description
As a prerequisite for Shavlik Protect you needs to make sure Shavlik console can connect to target registry over the network.
Solution
Here are the things you can check before you talk to your network administrator:
1. Start the Remote Registry Service
2. Make sure registry services are running both Shavlik console and target client machine.
3. Enable File and Print sharing in the Firewall
4. Check the user running Remote registry services and make sure it is part of the local administrator group.
5. It’s necessary to modify the registry permissions on the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurePipeServers\winreg
