Symptom

When attempting to import the "HP Client Catalog for Microsoft System Center & SMS Products" cab file using this URL, into the Ivanti Patch for SCCM catalog:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software/sms_catalog/HpCatalogForSms.latest.cab

Auto Publish.log states:

Downloading <catalog name>: 0%

Import failed. The file was not a valid catalog

Ivanti Patch.log states:

Duration: 00:00:12.39 $$<Shavlik Patch><06-06-2018 14:47:10.601-480><thread=27 (0x1b)>Import failed.

Cause

HP changed the format of HpCatalogForSms.latest.cab and the current version of Patch for SCCM is unable to parse it.  We are aware of the issue and plan to implement changes to the next release to accommodate this change.
